John Cox

Mr. Cox founded 1.618 Interests in 2013. He is responsible for overseeing all the firm policies and procedures as well as day-to-day operations. He has designed, planned or developed more than 10.5 million square feet of real estate. He leads the Executive Committee. His professional career as a real estate executive, architect, urbanist and educator has taken him around the world changing the world we live in to be a better place. He is deeply committed to a project's economic performance as an investment, sustainability as an operational property, and innovation in design.
Cox graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University and earned his Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Among his proudest accomplishments is successful completion of six Make-A-Wish 300-mile bicycle tours -- the largest fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Michigan.
